Our paint policy
Notwithstanding their many environmental benefits, we acknowledge that the manufacture, use and disposal of paint and timber coatings can also effect the environment in a detrimental way.
Our policy is to:
- Provide clear information about the volatile organic content (VOC) content of our own-brand paint. All Homebase own-brand paint carries a label that denotes its VOC content
- Reduce the VOC content of our paint through product development and make available water-based alternatives to traditional solvent-based products
- Offer advice about the removal and safe disposal of old and leftover paint.
